Team SCBE

well... the 2nd day of my leave is over, had a really crazy day today.

We played frisbee against NBS first, thinking that we were going to lose, i didn't really have much hope of winning. but surprisingly, we held our ground, clarence was amazing out there. his shots were straight and flat and went far, perfect for someone who hates running and standing super offside (which there isn't in frisbee). i did my job as a last minute captain, got the ppl down, increased our chances of not getting trashed and what happened? we won the favourites to go into the finals, NBS.

The next game was agaisnt SBS whom we lost to 6-2 just the day before, setting our sights on getting a medal, i fielded the best team i could, balancing catchers and pushers and keeping the players strong for defence. dunno if that actually worked but in the end, we won SBS 6-3. Quite cool. Love clarence's long shots.

But we have become famos for many reasons, beating NBS, beating SBS and for forfeiting our finals... NBS ppl really hate us now... lol

So SCBE Frisbee team:
1. Huihua - Our always dependable and loves to save the day girl (and does quite some good blocks)
2. Grace - Bubbly girl who is super enthu
3. Yafen - Our top scorer for day 1 vs. HSS, if not for her, we wouldnt have made it to the 2nd day
4. Longhui - never ending stamina
5. Yanfang - Our volleyball helper
6. Lionel - really one of the more all rounded players
7. Howards - cant catch seriously but he knows how to hit the frisbee
8. Bingsheng - good marker, really stops ppl from throwing to where they want
9. Chongmeng - fast, can catch, can throw, what more do you want from a frisbee player
10. Clarence - Our super import, the "save the day man", energizer, and i think the best player on the team
11. Lewis - can "dribble" the frisbee up a lot, loads of stamina but he always passes the frisbee upside down
12. Weixiang- the sports sec who is the manager and the actual captain, catches quite well

We actually formed a team SCBE , or in short Team CBE.
Most of us from frisbee went to play floorball, touch rubgy, volleyball (girls) +++

my 1st ISG

last year the isg i wasn't able to make it due to some untold of change in dates and timings

but this time i took a week off and played quite a few games, or going to play.

Monday update:

Frisbee:
Suddenly, when i reached found out that there weren't enough girls to play. the stupid sports sec was just there not doing much and pretending that a girl will pop up from nowhere. had to call all the girls i noe who stay in hall to get them to come down.... at least yafen agreed or else i would have wasted one more year of not being able to play frisbee, then i would have totally given up on the scbe main comm. but also... no photographers, no welfare, no first aid box and no frisbee to train with... waste my time.

and no captain, no sub comm manager, den make me captain... sian

anyway, we won HSS 3-2 but lost to SBS 6-2 and got to the 2nd round

Floorball:
Where got ppl play floorball without subs, i didn't sign up for floorball and if i wasn't there, there would not have been any subtitutes. We played against MAE who had like the floorball IVP captain, the IVP keeper and a whole line up of IVP players and a full team of substitutes.

Us? we had 1 female sub and 1 guy sub, no IVP, mainly made of freshmen.... how to win? but we didn't lose... we drew!!! woohoo! we actually wanted to import a common engineering guy to be our keeper but thank God that we didn't. Ashunuman (the Union rep) was an amazing keeper, catching the ball in mid-air was like nothing to him... amazing keeper really... we got a few good shots but it was the tyco one that got in. lol... after MAE's 1st goal... it was full defence as we did not have enough energy to attack and ya.... but we held our ground.
