Work work work...

This week i finally got things to do...

Monday... is it going to be just as horrible... when i went to work... waited for ah pek (my boss) to come in but he was late... in the end, yingsin talked me into talking to the other colleagues to ask them if they had anything for us to do. we went to wangjian and found out he was going fujian on tuesday and the department had a lot of work not done and needed a lot of help but they couldn't assign us anything to do. big setback. den we went back to our seat and saw ah pek was in. so we went to his office and talked to him.... he had nothing for us to do. den yingsin said that the pp department needed help as they were short of manpower. ah pek was surprised and took us to the pp department (wangjian's department... which is actually headed by ah pek himself). when he found out that his department was short of manpower... he immediately assigned us to his own department and work started. he gave us a speech on how difficult it was to assign us to another department and that he thought his department did not have anything to do. but ya... YAY!!! WORK!!!

first job? to check the PP I/O wiring to check whether the data entered tallied with the diagrams. thank God the person who did it was super careless, had lots of fun doing the corrections. felt like i finally was of some use. the mini project seemed to be going quite well too

2nd day, got this colleague known as xiaoying.. dunno why she was trying so hard to speak to us in english. she tried to explain everything in english to us, according to her, it was to improve her english but in the end. i couldnt understand a word she was saying... even if it was english. took like yesterday afternoon and the whole of the morning and a lot of trial and errors to finally get what she sort of meant.

we finally understood her when she gave up and spoke in chinese. lol... the irony

but ya... even if she did speak in chinese from the start, it would have required at least half the day, if not more to explain the job. in a way it's just data entry but it requires some understanding of the logic diagrams which i still am quite blur about... lol...

left to do? the excel mini project which i cant seem to get any breakthrough for yet... hope some super computer genius can appear in front of me one of these days...

真power: this woman who sits 2 seats beside me. seems like all the guys in the department have to listen to her. and when she intro-ed herself... all i could catch was the last part of her name... "zhen"

dimple girl: the damn chio girl (according to yingsin) who has nice dimples

liang jing ru: jianqing says she looks like liang jing ru... i think she looks like that when she covers her face... but thats what we call her now...

liang jing (no ru): the liang jing ru wanna be... actually... thats her real name
